World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) is an International Annual Awareness Day observed on 10 September with the aim of providing worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides. The not-for-profit Sabrina's Reach4Life has hosted the event in the NT since 2019. The theme for this year's event is Change the Narrative on Suicide, Start the Conversation, Here with Us On behalf of the WSPD Forum 2024 Planning Committee thankyou to the MC’s, speakers, trainers, and panelists of which a few came in from inland NT, across the water from TIWI Islands, from interstate, to those for your courage in sharing your stories, to the attendees & volunteers, to all for giving your time to attend. We attended the MCNT Youth Forum on 18th June and met the NT Young Australian of the Year 2024 Peter Susanto & the Victorian Young Australian of the Year Bhakta Bahadur Bhattarai. It was amazing listening to these two young men in what the have achieved with much more to come on their journey

On the 2nd of May SR4L, Lidia attended the SPA conference at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
Hosted by Suicide Prevention Australia annually, the 2024 National Suicide Prevention Conference will explore the theme of Collective Courage. Accelerate Impact.

On Tuesday 14th May SR4L was invited to attend the CDU Allied Health & Wellness Expo. There were many Health services to explore for the students. SR4L also promoted a youth platform that we are developing ROSE Project for young people to share their story of adversity & struggle,

Bereaved By Suicide Group had an Art Therapy Session on the 3rd April ~ creating Lanterns. The participants enjoyed creating their lanterns in a relaxed atmosphere and chatting about various topics or how they have been since the last meeting, our meetings are on the 1st Wednesday of each month....read more
