Our Goals
- Encourage peer support for people affected by the loss of a loved one by suicide
- Support those with lived experience to share their insights and stories
- Promote resilience and inspire others
- Provide an open, confidential and non-judgemental setting where members feel safe
- Change the culture and stigma surrounding suicide to preserve and promote life through compassion, awareness and understanding
- Form links with other suicide prevention, intervention and postvention groups in the NT and Australia
Participation
- For individuals impacted by the loss of a loved one from suicide (close friend, family member or work colleague)
- Attendance is free
- “Open door” policy where interested people can drop in whenever they choose
- The group is intended for people over 18+ years of age
